### FAQs

**Can the scanner automatically press Enter or Tab after scanning?** Yes. This is a configurable setting using programming barcodes. Contact your IT team if this behaviour is required.

**Why do extra characters appear before or after the scanned code?** This is caused by configured prefixes or suffixes (e.g. Enter, Tab, spaces). These settings can be adjusted by scanning configuration barcodes.

**Why does the scanner use the wrong uppercase or lowercase letters?** The scanner follows your computer’s keyboard layout. Check:

- Caps Lock is off
- Keyboard language matches your system settings

**Can I enter counts on the Barcode Scanner?** No. The scanner only scans the Barcode which can ultimately find the correct product in your Stocktake, you will then need to enter in the Count on your Computer, iPad or other device.

**Can this scanner be used across different systems or applications?** Yes. Any application that accepts keyboard input will work without additional setup.

**Can the scanner be used with tablets or mobile devices?** Only if the device supports USB input or the scanner variant supports Bluetooth. Most models are designed for PCs and POS terminals.

**Can the scanner be shared between workstations?** Yes. Simply unplug and reconnect it. No reconfiguration is normally required.

### Troubleshooting

**The scanner scans the same barcode twice. How do I prevent this?**

- Release the trigger fully between scans,
- Move the scanner away from the barcode after a successful scan,
- Avoid holding the trigger continuously.

**How do I reset the scanner to factory settings?** This requires scanning a factory reset barcode from the manufacturer configuration guide. IT assistance is recommended before doing this.

**Who should configure or change scanner settings?** Your internal IT team or system administrator. Configuration changes require scanning special setup barcodes.
